Toastmasters is an international organization with 30 clubs and 600 members in the Greater Rochester area, meeting twice a month. Many associate Toastmasters with public speaking. It's that and much more. We promote better communication - speaking AND listening along with critical thinking and leadership development. We welcome ALL who simply wish to improve their skills. We have many gifted speakers and leaders and others who struggle, but ALL members join in supporting each other's development.
We'll present a mini-demo meeting to highlight our programs featuring two speakers, evaluators, um counter, timer, grammarian and of course, the toastmaster. If time permits we'll squeeze in our Table Topics, impromptu speaking exercise which develops "thinking on your feet" skills.
In a challenging employment market are your skills - speaking, listening, critical thinking and leadership your competitive advantage? If not, then come observe a demo meeting, witness our program in action and get information on the local clubs. Dues are very affordable even for unemployed!
Observe a typical Toastmasters meeting in action! Our meetings are ALWAYS entertaining. You'll have fun. Worry not about being called upon to speak just come and be entertained.
