Lunch & Learn: Free Disability Awareness Training
Lunch and Learn is a free workforce training program that is being offered by RochesterWorks! in conjunction with the Rochester Area Employment Network (RAEN). The 1½ hour Disability Awareness training focuses on helpful tips and techniques for working positively and productively with people with disabilities.

Topics covered include:

  • How to talk with and about workers with disabilities
  • Common misconceptions and the real facts about workers with disabilities
  • Hiring qualified people with disabilities
  • Community Resources and Tax Credits

The training is provided on-site at your business location and free box lunches for up to 50 people are included. If lunch time is not convenient based on your business activities, we will arrange a training time at your convenience and provide light refreshments.

This training can benefit both managerial and front line staff. It will provide employees with the skills needed to improve customer service and effectively work with both customers and co-workers with disabilities. It's a great addition to Diversity training!
